So on Wednesday night, I filled-in and participated in another Webcomic Alliance podacst. For those not familiar with their podcast, the Webcomic Alliance members each ask a question and then all the others take turns answering or giving their opinions about the question.

Last night, the podcast consisted of Dawn, Byron, Ken and myself. Here was my question, slightly paraphrased from the podcast:

Capes & Babes has always been a humor strip or I always tried to have some kind of joke in the last panel of every strip. Lately though, I have been itching to do more “character based” stories… exploring Marc and Joey’s relationship as well as Roy and Roni’s. But, I’ve been hesitant to really do that because there may not be a joke at the end of every strip and I’m afraid it might be a bit jarring to people who have grown accustomed to coming here and looking forward to reading my weird sense of humor.

I got a lot of great advice from Ken and Byron but I really liked Dawn’s suggestion of blogging about it and asking YOU GUYS how you would feel about not always having a joke at the end of every Capes & Babes strip.

Would you be interested in learning more about Marc’s years as a rock ‘n roll musician or why he can’t seem to pull the trigger and take the next step with Joey?

Would you be interested in reading more about the odd relationship between a werewolf and a vampire?

Would you like to learn about all the other werewolves that exist in the Capes & Babes universe?

Would you like to see Marc and Joey go out on more dates?

Would you like to see all of these things – even if there wasn’t always a punchline three times a week?

And lastly, if none of those questions appeal to you, what WOULD you like to see in Capes & Babes? Is there a favorite character you’d like to see more? Is there a character you would like to see less of?

Please feel free to comment. You guys all know I read all of them and – unless it’s obviously spam – I approve it. So go ahead… take the podium and let me know what you would like to see in Capes & Babes and, if you have a direction you would like me to go in, suggest it. I’m all ears.
