Aaaaaand we’re back with regular strips. Hope you guys enjoyed that little sample of my commissions I did at Capicon on Sunday.

Webcomic Alliance podcast Last week, I mentioned that my friends over at the Webcomic Alliance asked me to sit in and record with them while Dawn was feeling a bit under the weather.

Well, tonight (Wednesday), I will once again be recording with them as they need another “fill-in voice” for one of the Alliance members that can’t record with them.

Hopefully, you guys subscribe to their podcast and check out their website on a regular basis. If you draw or write webcomics and you haven’t bookmarked their site, you really need to TODAY!

Here’s the direct link to their website as well as another link to their podcast:

If you haven’t listened to their podcast before, it works like this:
Each of the Alliance members offers up a question they have been struggling with in regards to their comic strip, convdention appearances or anything else related to their strip. Then, all the alliance members chip in and offer their opinion and/or advice.

For tonight’s podcast, I have offered to talk about the fact that I have been seriously thinking about writing some Capes & Babes strips that would greatly deviate from the “gag-a-day” format I have done since I started the strip. I would like to explore Joey and Marc’s relationship as well as compare it to Roni and Roy’s – but that might mean taking a break from silly jokes or gags.

I have been thinking about this for a very long time but I’m afraid to pull the trigger as I know the “new direction” would be jarring to some fans and I’m afraid of losing them if there isn’t a punchline at the end of every strip.

What do you guys think? Would you all be willing to hop on that bus and travel down more exploration of Marc, Joey, Roy and Roni even if thast means there may not be a joke in every strip? Or, maybe not a joke for several strips? Would that interest you? You tell me. I’d like to hear what you all have to say…
