Quicky-Lube… #507
I know we all have been in Roy’s… uh… fur before. Maybe not literally but certainly figuratively, right? C’mon… you can admit it. I know I have.
In other news (or, the Life of a Webcartoonist)…
This strip ALMOST became a filler today. For the past couple of weeks, I have been trying to get better at doing three strips between Friday night and Sunday si I wouldn’t be killing myself during the week. Since I started, it’s been going pretty well as I’ve managed to succeed in that and have quite enjoyed the relaxed feeling of enjoying the week nights – not to mention getting to bed at a decent hour.
This Saturday though, after working quite a bit on the second book, You STILL Can’t Print Flick, I only had enough comical energy (and ideas) for two strips. I had no idea what I was going to do for today’s strip. And this evening, while participating in my cardio tennis class, today’s idea suddenly struck me.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get home until 9:30pm. Fortunately though, I think I just cranked out my fastest Capes & Babes strip yet as I uploaded this strip to the server exactly at 11:00pm. So one hour and thirty minutes for one black and white Capes & babes strip.
I’ll have to see if I can top this THIS Saturday. Hope those ideas come soon!
