Man, it’s kind of crazy how life throws curve balls at you, ain’t it?

As many of you know, last year at this time, I had been laid off from my previous job for a few months and struggling to find ANY kind of work – whether it was freelance or a full-time gig. Since that time though, I’ve got a new job that’s a better commute, better hours and more pay so that’s always great. But here’s the kicker… now I’m busy as hell!

In addition to my full-time job, I have a couple of freelance jobs going on right now (with incredible deadlines, of course), I just got finished working an a caricature commission, I completed a villain pin-up for my friend, Dan Nokes (more on Dan in just a minute) and I have the Baltimore Comic Con right around the corner (August 28th and 29th) with Intervention Con right after that (September 11-12th). It’s an incredibly busy time!

But speaking of Dan, I would be remiss if I didn’t give him at least partial credit for helping to inspire today’s strip. Thanks to one of his many Facebook posts, he mentioned the Legion of Doom and who cleans up after them. From there, I came up with today’s strip. So thank you Dan – is that good enough credit for you? LOL!

Also, I wanted to mention I did THIS little pin-up of Shego in anticipating for Baltimore Comic Con (click the image to see a bigger version):

The original Shego will be available for sale at Baltimore Comic Con for $30. Shego is 9×12″ on smooth bristol board and colored with Prismacolor markers and inks.

If you have any special character requests you would like to have done, please e-mail me at capesnbabes [at] gmail [dot] com and let me know which characters you would like me to draw and how to go about purchasing the commission – whether you will be at Baltimore Comic Con, Intervention Con, VA Comic Con or the NC Comic Con.

Thanks!
