I want to thank everyone for allowing me to share some 2012 Heroes Con filler content for this week. The truth of the matter is, as great as Heroes Con 2012 was this year, it REALLY wore more out. Maybe more than I expected.

When you do a webcomic and you go to conventions, the hardest thing in the world to do is to recover from the weekend’s trip and have plenty of strips ready to go by the time you get back – at least for me, anyway. In order to help in that “convention recovery mode”, for the last year or so, I have been running convention-themed filler strips after I have returned from a big convention.

Today is the last Heroes Con 2012 filler strip. Next week, we will get back to Joey and Marc’s “faucet” story line. You’ll also see a little bit more about Roy’s experience at Heroes Con (just as I do every year). The strips are all written and I will be drawing them over the weekend. I’ll also have a special 4th of July illustration as well – so you’ll get an extra strip from me next week as well.

In the mean time, please enjoy the two sketches I did in sketchbooks during Heroes Con. The first one is from Mr. Williamson – a middle school teacher in North Carolina that requested I draw Roy doing something related to his school. How could I not resist Roy making fun of the Twilight series and insisting they were anything BUT true literature?

The colored werewolf is a werewolf version of my friend, Jason. Last year I did a caricature of Jason as Iron Fist. If you want to see it, you should pick up the 3rd volume of Capes & Babes. I included his caricature/sketch in the back of that book.

My next appearance will be July 7th in Waldorf, Maryland and after that, I will be in Allentown, PA to attend the Allentown Two Day Comic Con. I hope to see all of you (or as many as possible) at either one of these shows.
