When I was taking creative writing classes in college, a lot of people in those classes seemed to always complain about the difficulty of coming up with a title for their work. So much so, they used to get extremely stressed out about this aspect of their writing. Apparently, it was the easiest thing in the world to create a fictional world and believable fictional people but ask them to come up with a suitable title for their work and they just buckled under the enormous task being asked of them.

Me? I must have been the strange one though because coming up with titles was always fun for me. That why, at the top of every strip, you see just that – a title. Now, when I was in those fiction writing classes, I especially enjoyed coming up with titles that could be interpreted two different ways and still be valid.

For example, in today’s strip, one can easily read the title and say “Oh, well that’s just the name of that Air Supply song” and be done with it. But then again, one could interpret all the stuff Roy has gone through the last couple of weeks has been “all out of love”.

I’m not telling you which is which. That’s the beauty of titles sometimes. They can be interpreted in a wide assortment of ways. What’s yours?
