For all you young-ins that might be wondering why Joey and Marc have different highlights in their hair… well first of all… SHAME ON YOU!

Joey and Marc are dressed as Paul Stanley and Peter Criss from KISS. The reason why they have different highlights in their hair is a homage to the individual KISS solo albums each member put out in 1978. This is what each of the albums looked like:

Oddly enough, even though I have Joey dressed as Paul, of the four albums above, I actually only own Gene Simmons’ and Peter Criss’ albums. One of these days, I plan on getting Ace’s and Paul’s.

I had also read in several different books and interviews that many people felt that although KISS did something unprecedented by releasing four solo albums simultaneously in 1978, many think the solo albums starting the infighting of the band and lead to their eventual breakup.

For my money though, my favorite KISS member has always been – and will probably always will be – Peter Criss.

I understand his newly released autobiography is really great and I’m hoping to pick it up soon. Don’t know when I’ll have time to read it but I’m looking forward to picking it up.

Walk Now for Autism – Nov. 3rd

My family and I will be on the National Mall in Washington DC on Saturday participating in the Walk Now for Autism. The event is organized by Autism Speaks. We had too much going on this year to have the proper time to put a team together as we have done so in the past – otherwise, you would have seen please to donate to our team this year. But just because we don;t have a team doesn’t mean you can’t contribute or donate (if you choose to do so). If you would like to know more about the event or to find out how to donate, you can do so by clicking the link below:
