I think I have mentioned this a few times before but a lot of times, when people meet me for the first time at a convention, they often ask if Marc is supposed to be me. It’s a fair question since there are many webcartoonists out there that have created a cartoon alter ego of themselves… sometimes, the character is named after the artist and, in other cases, the character is a thinly disguised representation of the artist. And I’m sure it gets confusing for people when I say “no, Marc isn’t entirely based on me” since he and I share at least two similar traits: we have little or no hair and we both have goatees.

The truth of the matter is, there’s much more of me in Roy then there is me in Marc. There is, however, still a little bit of me in Marc but we are NOT the same character. Today’s strip is proof of that for I have NEVER owned a Members Only jacket.

As far as the Def Leppard jeans and those awesomely cool shades?

I plead the fifth.

On to some other news…

During all the torrential rain we had in Virginia this weekend, thanks to Hurricane Irene, I was able to fully color the Wonder Woman charity piece for Wonder Woman Day. As soon as I completed it, I posted it on Google+ and Facebook and immediately had some inquiries about doing commissions. For those of you that might have missed my blog post featuring my completed Wonder Woman, it is posted below.

But I also thought I’d mention that yes, I do commissions. Here are the details:

All commissions are 9×12″, fully colored and inked with markers and pens.

The commissions via mail are $40 but the humor is 100% FREE (so is the shipping and handling).

The commission feature no more than two characters. If you’re interested in more, the cost goes up depending on how many characters you want.

All payment can be sent to me via my Paypal account.

If you’re interested in a particular character, please contact me via e-mail at capesnbabes [at] gmail.com and let me know what character you are interested in having me draw.

I will do non-super hero commissions as well – just contact me and let me know what you’re interested in having done.
