It’s Tuesday night as I am writing this blog. With that in mind, last night my wife and I did our annual “Two or three days after Valentine’s Day Dinner” dinner. For those of you that might be unfamiliar with that event, let me explain:

“Two or three days after Valentine’s Day Dinner” is an event that is celebrated by couples who have been married for quite some time (check), don’t put a lot of stock into a Hallmark created holiday* (check) and also refuse to spend two to three hours at a restaurant waiting for a table to open up on Valentine’s Day (double-check).

My wife and I used to do the whole “Valentine’s Day Dinner” thing until we wised up and realized, if we just waited another day or two, we could easily go out to dinner with a heck of a lot less stress, aggravation or waiting and waiting and waiting and just getting hungrier and hungrier and hungrier as we smell the restaurant food or watch other people dine away.
