I will give a special shout out here, on Facebook and my Twitter feed for everyone who can tell me what the significance of Roy’s fine is in today’s strip.
Also, I have some other big shout-outs I want to mention as well…
On Saturday, I had a great time at the Southern Maryland Comic Con and, despite the fact there was no AC where we were, Dan Nokes (my table neighbor) and I survived and had a really great sales day. You guys are REALLY beginning to dig these caricature sketch cards I’ve been doing. I did those most of the day on Saturday.
A new convention tip:
I have already added a small gym towel to my convention items but I’m going to add a new item as well. I’m going to start bringing two battery operated hand-held fans. It’s a nice little portable way to keep cool when you start getting hot on a convention floor.
Another shout-out to Dan Nokes and all my friends that were involved with the Virginia Comic Con that was held the next in Richmond, Virginia. I decided not to attend that show simply because…
My brother, his wife and their daughter are in town from Las Vegas so we decided to have a huge crab feast yesterday. My dad, my brother and myself went in to Washington, DC and got a ton of crabs and the Flick clan pretty much spent all day yesterday eating them… so if you all were wondering why I wasn’t in Richmond, I was too busy working on the single reason why I will have to live in the gym for the next three weeks! Maybe by week three, I will have burned off all the crabs I ate yesterday.
And last but not least…
Webcomic Alliance News
On Friday, my first article appeared on the Webcomic Alliance site. It’s all about how I created my Capes & Babes logo and what goes in to deciding what fonts to use when creating a logo. You can read it by going to the Webcomic Alliance website.
