My apologies for the lateness of today’s strip. It was a combination of being a bit lazy yesterday – the strip was done, just not scanned and cleaned up – and having Verizon Vios installed once it became available in our area.

Anyway, the strips this week (and possibly next) might be a bit of an experiment that I hope you guys will still get a kick out of. A few weeks ago, I was asked by the creators of the web comic Union of Heroes if I would be willing to do a guest strip for them. For those of you that don’t know, Capes & Babes and Union of Heroes are both members of the Webcomic Planet Collective, but that’s not the biggest thing you should know. Union of Heroes is a bit of an experimental comic within itself since it is a photo-realistic comic book about a world of superheroes. But when I say “photo-realistic”, I’m not talking about 3-D rendering – I’m talking about real photos of real people and then manipulated.

Union of Heroes is created by Arne Schulenberg & Eric Wünsche who are based in Germany – but you don’t have to read, know or understand German as they also translate the strip in to English as well.

So, since it’s been quite a while since Marc has interviewed anyone on his podcast (something I have to get back to doing more of), I thought it might be fin to have Marc interview a cast member of Union of Heroes and this week will be a series of strips leading up to his interview with the member of Union of Heroes (no, I’m not telling you which cast member it might be – that would ruin the surprise and, possibly, the joke too).

Oh… and once last thing I should mention… Phil (aka Frumph) and I worked quite a bit on Friday creating the basic/initial work on the Cap[es & Babes re-design. I think you guys are really going to love it. It’ll have a new color scheme, be MUCH more streamlined, easier to find how to add a comment to a blog post and… wait for it… it’ll also have navigation buttons UNDER the comic strip!

How bad is that? I have to do so update on the server side before I can get everything rolling and it’ll still take a while but a LOT of the hard work was really done by Phil on Friday night. So Phil, thanks again for helping me out so much this past weekend!

Here’s to you, buddy!
