This is an updated Blog post from yesterday…
(My original post from yesterday is still below and in italics)

As you all know now, the Cowboys won the game last night on Sunday Night Football and are guaranteed a playoff spot. Here’s a picture of the opening kickoff:
Dallas vs. Redskins opening kickoff

Temperatures last night was in the 30 degree range but I was pretty warm throughout the night – thanks to the full body hunting suit I was wearing in that short snowstorm video I filmed last weekend.

I always intended for this strip to be in full-color from the start but I was also working on a last minute Christmas gift caricature for my best friend Jeff. He was also the one who had tickets to the game (and is also a long time Redskins fan). Now how a Redskin and Cowboy fan wound up being best friends is a very LONG story but we’ve been best friends since I was 14 years old (Jeff’s 2 years younger than I am).

Anyway, we agreed to meet at 4:30pm to go to the game and as I was working on today’s strip yesterday, I quickly realized I wasn’t going to be able to get it fully colored by 4:00pm – that gave me enough travel time to meet him at our designated spot by 4:30pm. But being a long time newspaper production grunt years ago, I knew it was better to get SOMETHING up rather than have NOTHING up. So I quickly finished the black & white version and cleaned it up as much as possible and posted it online. Again, I would rather have SOMETHING up than miss a deadline. Guess that’s just the graphic designer in me.

In any case, I hope you enjoy seeing the colored version.

My original blog post from yesterday (Sunday):
This is a temporary black & white version. The full color version will be up tomorrow.

I didn’t have time to complete the full color version as I am about to leave the house to go to the Redskins – Dallas game with my best friend. Last time I went to a Redskin-Dallas game, Dexter Manly knocked out Danny White.

Here’s hoping the results might be just a TAD bit different.
