Small Press Expo 2008…
I drew today’s strip yesterday afternoon sitting in a Cici’s pizza restaurant. There was a lady sitting a couple tables away from me. I admired her hairstyle and decided to adapt it to the lady sitting behind the cash register in today’s strip.
So… the moral of the story? Simple.
If you’re in a public eatery and you see an artist drawing a few tables away from you, be careful or you just might wind up in a comic strip.

HA! I felt the same way at fall con. There were people in costume and then there were people in “costume”

Scott… uh, sorry to hear that?
Seriously though, I’ve never been to FallCon. Maybe next year. But I HAVE been to several Small Press Expos in Maryland. To me, Small Press Expos hark back to my days in art school where there was a very big blend of all kinds of different artists that expressed themselves in all sorts of ways. Some confined those expressions to paper and canvas while others chose their own body and clothes as their canvas. I sometimes get that vibe every year at SPX.
