Hey Jim,
Thanks for commenting. Yeah, I feel like I'm really beginning to get a feel for what kinds of crazy antics I can put Roy through. Heck, if you're reading my current story line, you know he's currently been going through a wild ride as him and Marc are making their way to Heroes Con 2008!

:-)

Roy can always be counted on for comic relief, no matter how inappropriate...

1978 Chevette. Wow. One of a series of Poster Children for Detroit's "Malaise Era," as the girls & boys at jalopnik.com put it.

Hey Joe,
Whoops. You're right about the Chevet vs. Chevette thing. My friends and I used to call my ol' clunker "Chevet" as it reminded us a little bit of "Shiii-vet" as that thing would ALWAYS break down... bad radiator, bad radio, bad brakes (I always had to make sure I had plenty of bottles of brake oil in the car for when it got low).

But I delivered a hell of a lot of pizzas in that thing. And then only reason it had so many things wrong with it is because it ALSO had so many miles on it too. Lots of great memories of that car... sure there were a few things that kept breaking down or - as with my gear shift knob - falling off, but there were a lot of firsts with that car. First big road trip with "my gang". First concert (Stevie Nicks, no less). First time I broke my best friend's arm (long story there). First teen cruiser.

I'm still not so sure it would be "fun" to have one NOW though. It's fun to think back and appreciate the fun times but driving that thing was NOT so fun. LOL!

Oh, and I fixed the second panel. ;-)

my parents once owned a 77 chevette. i have fond memories of that car. however, most of the memories involve my dad tweaking/fixing some random part. i think it would be cool to have one now. who knows? they may even be collector items now.

and you might want to fix the spelling in the comic. it's chevette, not chevet.
