Thanks to Scott Johnson over at Extra Life, I’ve really gotten to be a big fan of Major Spoilers and their Podcast. During their last Podcast, the Major Spoiler guys were talking about the new Thor series but they kept wondering what happened to Donald Blake and Thor when they “switched places”.
Well, I didn’t answer that particular question but it did get me thinking about different ways where the “switch” could be rather embarrassing. I mean, seriously, what happens when two people suddenly switch bodies with one another?
Way back in the day, it used to be that Donald Blake and Thor were one and the same… That Donald was Odin’s way of teaching Thor a little bit of humility by trapping him in the body of a human cripple (Marvel’s words – not mine) but Donald could turn into Thor whenever he tapped his cane.
But I don’t know… I think there much more potential – at least comedy wise – have Donald and Thor switch bodies. I mean, what happens if one of them is on the john? And let’s say it’s Thor. That Asgardian toilet has got to be friggin’ HUGE! Would Donald Blake fall into that Asgardian toilet if they switched places?
Really, the possibilities are endless…
