You have to understand… like Roy, I have a very big emotional investment in Speed Racer. He was my childhood hero. So, almost more then any other movie this summer, the one I was to do the best – or, at least, exceed expectations – is Speed Racer.
Now, I’m not one that normally judges movies based on a 2 minute trailer but the first time I saw the Speed trailer on Apple’s web site, I got a little worried as I saw all those bright, flashy colors and immediately though “Oh God, it’s Dick Tracy” all over again. But recently, I went to go see College Road Trip with my daughter and they showed the Speed Racer trailer . On the big screen, it looks the same but different. I know that sounds odd but all the flashy colors are there but the trailer actually looked a lot better on the big screen then it did on my computer screen.
So… I still have big hopes.
Currently listening to Carol King (an iTunes gift from my wife for my B-day)…
