Those damn Sonic Burger commercials…

Here’s the deal… when I lived in Nevada - or when I vist my in-laws in North Carolina, there ARE Sonic Burger joints in both of those places. But here in Northern Virginia? Nope. Not a one.

So tell me… why do they insist on teasing me so by playing Sonic Burger commercial after Sonic Burger commercial every night?

I’m with Roy on this one. It seems to me that Sonic Burger could probably spend their money better by advertising in an area… THAT ACTUALLY HAS A SONIC BURGER!

Ugh.

I used to live out of franchise for Sonic and I agree with you wholeheartedly.

I’m pretty certain if you are getting commercials for Sonic on your television that they might be working on putting a franchise in your area. They did the same thing here in Jacksonville when they kept talking about certain department stores, and playing lots of advertisements, then they built the department store. I think they keep doing the commercials, so when they finally put a sonic in your neighborhood, you’ll say “I’ve been wanting this for months, let’s go NOW”

    Hey Birdie,
Well, I would probably agree with you except for the fact that I live in the Tri-State area (Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania - and Washington DC) so the TV stations have to cater to a VERY large area. I’m sure there’s probably a Sonics somewhere deep in Maryland territory - I just haven’t seen one yet.

i think it’s cruel. i used to live in a land where sonic could be found easily. in indiana and kentucky, there was a sonic in every other town. then, i move up to minnesota and start seeing sonic commercials. one day, i thought to myself, “hey, i haven’t had a foot long cheese coney and tater tot combo in a while…i should go to sonic” and then i try to find the nearest sonic. oh, the closest one is 200 miles away.

every time i see one now, it’s like the commercials are mocking me. hey joe, we know you’d like one of our flavorful limeades, but that’s too bad. we’re no where around you.

We always see those commercials here in MN, and it drives me nuts. According to the locator, they don’t have any Sonics in MN, but there are a mess of them in Iowa, so I guess that makes some sort of sense…?

Hey, it’s just as bad here in SE Texas. We’ve got Sonics everywhere, but no:

    Carl’s Jr.
    Hardee’s
    In N’ Out Burger

If I weren’t a badass burger chef myself, I’d be angry all the time.

it is just out side the veiwing range down 95 south it is the route 17 exit towards spotsalvinia good luck it is a great location but the very edge of the veiwing range

  8. heroes Says:

Thanks Knightspast. That’s still a pretty long drive for me. If I’m going to go that far south (from where I am), I’d just rather turn off at the exit before 17 and get some crabs at Joe’s Crab Shack. :-)

ok for real…i live in NYC the closest Sonic in somewhere in Pennsylvania…who doesnt get the NYC tv channels. now explain that please.

my friend lived in San Diego and had to watch Sonic commercials too. The closest one to her i think was in Arizona.

i have lived in NYC for 4 years and she was in San Diego for the same amount of time. So what is the rationale to that?
