Jennifer Love Hewitt’s ghost bra…

Okay, okay, maybe that’s just a little too mean. And I admit that on occasion, I have caught an episode (or three) of “The Ghost Whisperer” (but only because it’s my wife’s second favorite Friday night show). My only beef with the show - and by “beef” I mean things that I find odd about the show - is that as an executive producer of the show, I do find it a bit amusing that Jennifer tends to find as many low cut dresses for her character to wear as is humanly possible. I mean, seriously, her character on that show never met a low cut V sweater or dress she didn’t like. And the lower the V cut, the better.

No wonder the ghosts tend to bother her so much. If I was dead, I would certainly be attracted by the shiny object known as Jennifer Love Hewitt’s chest. :-D

On another note, I will be the first to admit it here that I didn’t think the Giants had any shot in hell of beating the Patriots. I don’t know… maybe had the Patriots not tried to run up the score on every sub-par team they played this year - and they played A LOT of sub-par teams this year, maybe I might have been rooting for them. Heck, I used to be a long time Steve Grogan fan (yes, I was actually one of the very few that was rooting for him when they played the ‘85 Bears) but ever since the Patriots changed their logo, I just never had the same affinity for them. I don’t know… maybe it was the cockiness from guys I used to like that really turned me off this year. But hey, you go undefeated, I guess you have the right to be cocky. But in my mind, they just never had a REAL challenge this year. They had a lot of luck fall their way (and that also helps going undefeated) but it always seemed to me that whenever they were about to meet a challenge, their opponent always had a string of bad luck - a key injury or two.

I think when history looks back on their season, the one thing that people will note is that the patriots were also very fortunate to play in a division where all of their division rivals had losing records - except the Bills. But even then, the Bills were only able to get above .500 late in the season. During the middle months, they also had a losing record. How fortunate were the Pats that they played in a division were the Dolphins won one game, the Jets less then five and the Bills just a game ot two above .500?

But… even with all that being said, they won the games they were SUPPOSED to win. You can’t take anything away from that. But I think the Giants learned quite a bit what to do - and what not to do - by looking at what the Cowboys and Eagles did against the Pats. And really, they learned a lot about themselves in the last regular season against the Pats too. And maybe playing in the - one again - BRUISING NFC East, that gave the Giants the resolve that they needed for that final 2:00 minute drive…

In any case, it’s very ironic that the Giants themselves became, well, Giant Killers.

Congratulations on your well earned victory, New York.
