Wolf FM
I’m a big fan of iTunes Radio. Three of the internet stations I listen to the most are Wolf FM, Club 977 and Best of the 80’s on Sky.fm. Well, since Roy’s a werewolf, it just makes sense that his favorite iTunes internet radio would also be Wolf FM.
In that regard, it’s really important that we support internet radio and make sure they don’t go by the wayside. Internet radio plays some of the most varied music you’ll find instead of the same ol’ “play list” that traditional radio stations seem to play. All the more reason why we need to support them and make sure they don’t get wiped out by excessive requirements of royalty fees. I don’t have the answers but I’m sure there are smarter people then me out there that could find a suitable solution the appeases everybody.
The same goes for all the cable companies out there and the NFL. Surely there’s SOME way both multi-billionaire industries can find a SUITABLE way to get along and STILL serve their customers…
But speaking of the NFL, I will start off by acknowledging the fact that I am a long time Cowboy fan. That being said, the death of Sean Taylor is a very, very, very sad situation. His death dissolves any “rivalry” between the Redskins and Cowboys. It’s a sad situation for all of football - and even pro sports.
Fans can sometimes get caught up in “hating” a player on an opposing team but with Sean’s death, it reminds all of us that even as intense and rabid as we fans can get, sometimes… sometimes we need to take a step back and remember that despite all the money, despite all the fanfare, despite all the Sports Talk radio, football is just a game. Life is the real deal.
And, for what it’s worth, I had actually voted for Sean to be one of the two NFC safeties to be represented in the Pro Bowl this year as he was having a pro bowl year. And, according to the Dallas Cowboys’ web site, it’s good to know that Roy Williams (my other pro bowl selection at safety) says he will honor Sean in some personal way besides just having the league-wide mandatory honor of having Sean’s number on the back of his helmet.
If that doesn’t say how insignificant this “rivalry” is compared to real life, I don’t know what does.
